The First Traveller

moleskine Journeys, originally uploaded by Fire*works.

it has a lovely anonymity, I wonder what lies between the covers?

Where it all began

The journey begins. I bought the first Moleskine today and wrote a short introduction about myself, wrote a little poem, (same one you see in the description) and I am on the lookout for somebody to give it to. It's fairly daunting to think that I'm going to entrust a perfect stranger with this charge.

If you are a bit like me then you love the idea of journey's. Journey's of the mind, quests of the heart, expeditions of the lungs and feet. And partly because I find myself fairly rooted at the moment and partly because that's only one aspect of my reality I have created the "Journey's by Moleskine" project.

I carry one with me all the time and instead of describing the sky in Patagonia or the loves lost in Hemmingway's bars I mostly brainstorm, write reminders and a bit of GTD. But what if this little notebook can have a life of it's own. What if it can journey without me, finding like minded travellers who are willing to share an aspect of their journey for a day, or a week and then pass it on, and on, and on? Until one day, who knows when, a traveller will turn the page and see that it is the last empty page in the Moleskine and they will be faced with a choice. Do they keep it for themselves, or do they mail it back to me?

We will see. This Blog is for all those who come in contact with this Moleksine on it's journey. Use it, enjoy it.

Till later.
